I’ve been hanging out with the House of Yes crew recently and fell in love with this deer they had sitting on the couch. I do their website/mailing list and they always have interesting stuff going on; check out their upcoming events if you’re in NYC.
Roxy Paine at the Met
I was recently at the Met and caught Roxy Paine’s Maelstrom on the roof garden. The piece is huge, and interacts nicely with the space. The sculpture feels very participatory and invites you to meander through it, altering your perception of the city view surrounding you and challenging the boundaries between nature and artifice.
Yo La Tengo
I won tickets to see Yo La Tengo from Superglued! I never win anything! I really like their new album, “Popular Songs,” and they put on a great show. I’ll post video soon.
