Halloween Photos!

Halloween this year was beyond amazing. We started the night off at a Thievery Corporation concert, and they played an epic 2-hour set that didn’t let up. Thievery Corporation is probably my favorite act of all time, and their live shows are not to be missed; if you ever have a chance to see them, DO IT. I’ll post some video later, but didn’t get much because I was dancing like a madwoman in an electro-tribal trance for most of the show. Then we headed into the depths of Brooklyn for ‘The Last Masquerade‘, a party from the Danger. The Danger throws some of the best parties in New York and their Halloween party is the biggest of the year. Spanning three huge warehouse spaces, it featured great music, daring acts of fire acrobatics, various art installations, and an army of amazing costumes. I went as a muse, and made a golden wreath illuminated by fiber optic strands to make it look like it was full of ideas.

Halloween is really like a religion in New York. If you haven’t been here for one, add it to your bucket list. Apart from the parties, the streets and the subway are a prime people-watching venue: everyone is really enthusiastic about their costumes and the collective creativity of the city is so inspiring. We were out till 6am. Enjoy the photos; they really don’t do the night justice.
